Cat Dry Food Is BAD!

feline diabetes

There are so many reasons why cat’s that eat dry food are in constant danger.

The first reason of course is that your cat could get diabetes mellitus. Dry cat food has a greater amount of carbohydrate than canned foods. This is because in order to create the dry food it requires the use of starch and is created by heating it whereby it makes the cat dry food more glycemic then the wet canned cat food. When you have a higher amount of glucose levels it will raise your cat’s blood sugar.

The second reason not to feed your cat dry food is because it makes your cat obese because of the high amounts of carbs. When you the pet owner places the cat dry food onto the dish and leave during the day, your cat will leisurely take bites of the dry food and thereby start to gain weight, because there is no routine schedule to eat at. He is eating all day!

The third reason is not only might he get diabetes, but he can also get other diseases such as Kidney Disease because the dry food is precisely that, “dry” which causes the cat to dehydrate which would directly affect his kidneys. And the lack of any moisture in the dry cat food could lead to Urinary Tract diseases. There is also potential for cancer because in the process of creating the dry food, the grains create acryl amide which is known to cause cancers and not to mention all of the preservatives that they put in dry cat food.
